It’s a sunny Sunday today. I’m glad because it rained briefly on Saturday morning. I have mixed feelings about rain. On the one hand, it means I don’t have to water my plants. On the other hand, it means everywhere I have gravel and rocks, weeds will grow and I’ll have to pull them.

Who is the Villain in a Mystery Novel?
Every story, whether it’s a mystery, comedy or drama needs an opposing force that tries to defeat what the main character, or hero wants to accomplish or keep. That opposing force is the villain in the story.
The Way I Write
Some writers create detailed outlines of their story before they start to write. These writers are the plotters. Other writers don’t create outlines. They just start writing whatever comes into their head and then shape a story around it. These are the pantsers, in that they write “by the seat of their pants.”
I got a selfie with one of my Favorite Authors!
Here’s a picture of me with Charlaine Harris, author of the True Blood series at a bookfaire a few years ago.
